Lana Del Rey Before And After Plastic Surgery?
Amid her recent skyrocket to fame, which has cast the 25 year-old directly into the media spotlight, there has been an abundance of chatter regarding Lana's exceptionally large lips.
Plastic surgery is a word that is being thrown around a lot, but Ms. Del Rey's has swiftly shot-down such allegations, insisting she "haven't had anything done at all".
In a recent interview with Complex, Del Rey said...
I haven't had anything done at all. Anyone who's known me will tell you that. I'm sorry, but I was living in a trailer park for a few years. I didn't even have enough money to buy Cocoa Puffs. It's not like I crawled from under the bridge and got surgery. I’m quite pouty. That’s just how I look when I sing.Interesting logic indeed, however in many cases its after a person becomes famous when they decide to opt for plastic surgery. And if it only "looks like that when I sing", she must be a certified ventriloquist.
In our best estimation, Lana "lips" Del Rey is the recipient of a non-surgical lip augmentation procedure, commonly referred to as lip injections (collagen, restylane, artecoll). There is of course a slight possibility that her lip inflation could be the result of lip implants (goretex, softform, fat grafting), which can sometimes bare a similar appearance.
And while Lana Del Rey vehemently denies getting plastic surgery, its awfully hard to argue with those pesky before and after photos. Other have mentioned a possible nose job as well, but that procedure is still highly debatable until we see a better 'before' photo. Checkout the current comparison and leave some feedback below.

I went to high school with lizzy, she has always been a very beautiful girl. She has had nothing done. Hate all you want but this girl has always had talent and beauty, good for her! Go Lizzy! Lp/adks girl all the way!
umm... who cares what and if shes had anything done. almost everyone gets plastic surgery these days for one thing or another.. so shut up!
I know it's dumb to debate this but when I read in an interview claiming she denied it, I can't help myself but to comment. Now, I love her Video Games song as well as Born to Die don't get me wrong but let's face it, she didn't write them (or--at least--not in their entirely). Point being, any mainstream artist has help: whether it be in the music writing department or style department (image department). Clearly, she has had help in the latter department--being the change in hair color, and a lip augmentation. This is not the first time we've seen this. Perhaps she wasn't as interesting or marketable before, her beautifully unique voice simply has set the stage for the refinement. Stephanie, Norma, Robyn, and Megan Fox to name a few, were some ordinary people that turned extraordinary (or marketable) undergoing "image control" to become Lady Gaga, Marilyn Monroe, Rihanna, and a sleeker Megan Fox.
I think she looks great. But, so did Marilyn.
Her chin looks exactly the same to me, but she looks like she got punched in the mouth. It's a shame :-(
It is so obvious that she did, where is the debate?it's the first thing you notice when you see her. Love her voice though, it's a shame that women always have to do this to themselves...

It's not the fact that she has her lips done (and nose, too). That's no big deal - although she looks like a skanky blowup doll.
What's pathetic is that she lies about it! Assuming the audience are fools and believe the lies makes her pathetic. If she were honest, most of us wouldn't have a problem with it.
This woman seems smanufactured. I also some-what doubt that she has EVER encountered serious hard-ship, particularly not being able to afford food. Given that her father is a MILLIONAIRE. Lana Del Rey's entire appearance in the high-circulation music scene is slightly questionable to say the least.
In her "before" pictures, if you follow the line of her nose down from her forehead, you'll see that it was crooked. Now, the line is quite straight. Her lips, obviously worked on. She's had work done, period.
She has very obviously had a lot of work done. I'm sure the label paid for some of it. It just sucks that these girls lie about it . (her lips are very poorly injected. this is a surgical mistake called overfill) It makes young girls think that if they need to look like this. I would rather her just say "Hey, I wanted a better nose and pouty lips. I'm an adult making a decision".....then I would have respect for her.
Her lips were perfectly fine in the before picture, I am surprised she felt the need to get them modified. The surgery made her lips look weird and unnatural.

I love her music, she's incredible artist, no doubt! But, it is so ridiculous when somebody is denying such a obvious plastic surgery! Why the hell they do that?? I'm not having a problem with her having the work done, it's her body and her life. I have a problem with her denying that! What, people are blinde or someting?! And why you're ashamed of that? She has lips like Model Doutzen Kroes who is all natural by the way. I don't think she had any plastic surgery.

Not that it matters, but she DEFINITELY had her lips done. She's not gonna own it, because if you deny, deny, deny enough - it will just become the truth - and that's a fact (basic psychology). Even if you didn't see her "before" photo as the bleached blonde Lizzy Grant, if you are observant enough and watched her videos, you will be able to tell. There is a stiffness to her upper lip which naturally puffy lips wouldn't have (Example: Angeline Jolie, whose natural lips easily contort to her words). She didn't have injections that would produce swollen, shapelless, awkwardly drooping lips like Mellanie Griffith's or Nicole kidman's - she had an implant, like Octo Mom & Lara Flynn Boyle, which often results in the infamous "Duck Lips". Luckily for her, she has a beautiful nose, because as we all know - singers can't change their noses because it could affect their voice. I know one girl who has gotten a drastic nose job and she sounds like Minnie Mouse now (this is why leah Michelle or Barbara Streisand still haven't opted for one of those). There are exceptions to that rule, like Ashley Simpson & Ashleigh Tisdale, but they're not real singers...Anyway, good luck to her, cuz I really enjoy her music!

Adore this girls music! But it really is sad that she got her lips changed, I mean she looked gorgeous before and still does, but it's just not natural anymore. Her whole face seems kind of lopsided now.
In the top two picks her chin and lips look the same, just good makeup work.
The other pic looks as though it has had some photoshop work done.

She was pretty gorgeous before. Now she looks like very plastic surgery victim. Her video games song is ripped off from a Greek artist (google that)(I wonder how much of her material is copped from possibly obscure artists) her nose is done, her lips are done and the hair is a weave... what she does to her body is her business. But the "gangsta Nancy Sinatra" she is not...she should have at least read up on Nancy Sinatra before using that moniker...and she should immediately put out another recording as for some reason, I dont think her career is going to last very long.
I think people are once again concentrating on appearances rather than the music!!! Who cares...? she's a pretty girl in both pictures and her music is amazing!!

Wow, she used to be so beautiful... now she looks like a sex doll. But yeah as someone pointed out, she's not the first one to do it, many people have done it before and they ALL ended up like her, with a creepy lifeless face and fish lips.

Okay well first of all there is no way you can compare those two pictures supplied anyway - she is in different poses in both of them, the first one she has her head tilted down and the second one she has her head tilted up - believe it or not this makes a huge different to the proportions of the face.
Secondly she has different makeup on...obviously on the first picture she wasn't famous and most likely didn't have her own make-up artist, you can see she is wearing more natural looking make-up...in the second picture this is part of a photo shoot and Lana will have no doubt had a make-up artist work on her...now girls I'm sure you'll agree, if you use LIP PENCIL it makes a dramatic difference to a persons lips, it makes them look more 3d, more full and plump.
Lastly, I really don't know why there is such a huge debate over Lana's lips? It makes her unique and I do believe she has had nothing done to them - actresses such as Julia Roberts, Liv Tyler and Angelina Jolie were all blessed with natural, full looking lips so why is it so hard to believe that Lana Del Rey is?
She is a great singer. She didn't rip off her video games song from a greek artist (i listened to the greek song it doesn t really sounds like video games) . Obviously she had some work done on her lips and nose. People who denie this are complitely blind.. Just take a look to her videos when she still was lizzy grant you ll see the difference by yourself. Can't you understand her lie? She may have been forced to change her face to manage becoming famous! It might be difficult for her to admit it, cause it surely is a shame for her. Buisness is buisness- she is asked to say things that are not always true in order to charme new fans. All the celebrities lie... Stop the debate.
We're not blind, its obvious to anyone shes got fillers, botox, nose job and lips done. Watched her live and she was trying to frown at one point her eyebrows tried to move but her forehead doesnt move once!
Karl Lagerfield was right, hes a super perceptive genius who pointed out she was a construct with all her implants. Looks like Lizzy Grant's dreams have come true, to 'become' an alter ego, tragic femme fatale that oozes sex appeal and escape her rather boring ordinary self. She probably feels protected by all the plastic surgery she's had done, its like a shield.

Um, because their lips have always looked full? That's kind of what "natural" means. Lana had both her lips done but her upper lip is ridiculous; it looks immobile and almost blue at times, like its blood supply is lacking. Her mouth looks fake right away, and then her before pics just confirm the obvious. I hope she just had injections that will absorb soon and go away. In the mean time, she and anyone else claiming her lips are natural should stop taking people for idiots. This little lie has made me respect her a lot less as an artist. It would've been great if she just told the truth. So refreshing and who would judge her? It seems everyone's doing it these days so it would be no big deal, her business. The lie is insulting, though.
Yall must have great eyes. Because I can't tell from these photos. On the one on the left she it looks like she is posing and pouting her mouth out. And on the first one her chin is down. Her lip can be pulled in. I can't tell.
I went to school with the girl when she was Elizabeth Grant in Lake Placid too, and while yes, she is beautiful and talented...she had INDEED had work done to her lips.
Who gives a sh**t, she's a hotty with or without the lip job. What is annoying is that she didn't need any of the enhancements, frankly, was gorgeous before. A diamond in the rough I'm sure as far as the singing... she's got her style, give her time to develop her talent... Maybe her style is derivative, so what, whose isn’t??
